EQUIPMENT EXPANSION
Dell Precision 7910
Workstations
With recent camera upgrades, we knew it was time to get the hardware to match. Purchasing 10 new Dell workstations for our editors has given them the tools to more quickly and efficiently create content for all of our original programs.
Flame Premium
In addition to new hardware, we also got the latest in finishing software known as Flame Premium. This upgrade has opened the door to new possibilities in post production, providing our team with the ability to design more advanced graphics, create interactive 3D elements, color correct at faster rates, and give every project a more polished, professional look.
Autodesk Burn
As we processed more and more high resolution video in 2016, it was clear that an upgrade was needed to improve the efficiency of our post production workflow. That improvement came in the form of Autodesk Burn nodes which enables our team to not only utilize high end finishing tools on each project, but also complete those assignments much quicker.
ROE Visual Black
Onyx LED
The stunning imagery we’re creating thanks to upgrades in hardware, software, and video processing can now be beautifully displayed in high resolution on the 144 LED panels we purchased. These provide an opportunity for new levels of creativity and flexibility in set design for all of Daystar’s original programming.

LIVE & SPECIAL EVENTS RECAP
Peace for the Weary
I have a long history of insomnia. After many years of struggling with this condition, I decided to accept it as a lifelong sentence. Several weeks ago, I was flipping through the channels late at night when I suddenly stopped on Daystar. The program playing at the time was called “Reflections,” and featured beautiful scenery set to soft, gentle melodies. I’m not usually one to tune in to this kind of thing, but I couldn’t change the channel. The peace I felt as I sat staring into the TV screen was overwhelming, so I laid back and shut my eyes thinking that I would just listen awhile before turning it off. The next thing I knew, it was morning. I looked over at the clock and realized that I had slept six hours straight, which is something I haven’t done without a sleep aid in years! Since that time, I’ve started recording Reflections and play it each night at bedtime. My sleep is now consistent and regular. Praise God! Daystar, please continue airing this program. I know it’s a blessing to so many like me who’ve battled sleeplessness.
